This week we spoke to Professor Sukari Pinnock-Fitts who is an Adjunct Professor in the Human Resources Masters Program for the Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies. She is a Coach Assessor for Georgetown’s Leadership Coaching Certificate Program. Believing strongly in an “action-oriented” approach, Pinnock-Fitts works with individuals and organizations to maximize human potential, cultivate talent and enhance group and individual performance. In the two decades spent as an Executive with a mid-sized nonprofit organization, she developed a unique understanding of the need for effectiveness, efficiency and commitment in both mission and profit-driven organizations. I wouldn’t even attempt to list the series of awards he has won with such shows as Evita, Cats and The Phantom of the Opera. Family life Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, in full Andrew Lloyd Webber, Baron Lloyd-Webber of Sydmonton was born in 1948 in South Kensington, London. Andrew comes from a musical family. His father, William, was an organist, composer and director of London College of Music. His mother, Jean, was a piano teacher and violinist; she ran a Kensington prep school where pupils later included Hugh Grant and Princes William and Harry. William and Jean married during World War II and both parents were clear music enthusiasts. They both worked, and it was Jean’s mother, Molly, who looked after the boys and ran the house. Andrew’s younger brother, Julian, is a British solo cellist and advocate for music education. He is now the principal of Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. J

Elizabeth Loftus is an American cognitive psychologist. Best known for making psychological science more influential in the real world; she is responsible for changing how the police and courts deal with eyewitness testimonies. Currently, she works in the departments of Psychology and Social Behaviour, Criminology, Law and Society. She is also a colleague in the Centre for the Neurobiology of Learning and Memory. Early life Loftus was born on 16th October 1944 in Los Angeles to parents, Rebecca and Sidney Fishman. She grew up in a Jewish family in Bel Air. Even though the family was not religious, she took a day off school every year for Yom Kippur. Her parents met in World War II; her father was a U.S. Army physician and her mother was a librarian. Both Loftus and her father were proficient in mathematics, “that was the one thing we had in common to talk about” , she states. Moustapha Diouf started his inspiring journey as a militant Trotskyite from Senegal before moving to Paris to study Sociology. This is where his inspiring work began as he continued his career in academia producing groundbreaking research on the beauty of compromise, political diplomacy between African nations and the US culminating in his role today as Associate Professor at the University of Vermont inspiring students from all walks of life. Through his work at the University of Vermont, Moustapha is a dear friend of Bernie Sanders where he pushes a similar agenda of social pacificism and social equality. He cares so much about the improvement of our society and our politics and has shown this through his tenure as President of the Millennium Challenge Account, a £500m fund from the US to nations in Africa as well as being the special advisor to the ex-prime minister of Senegal Aminata Touré.
